Whether you're new to scuba or ready to advance your skills, Princess Divers offers a full range of diving courses in the heart of Phi Phi Island. Our programmes are flexible, internationally recognised, and led by experienced instructors who prioritise personal attention, safety, and fun. From your first underwater breath to advanced rescue techniques, each course is designed to build your confidence and help you become a capable, independent diver. Choose the path that fits your goals and let your next diving adventure begin.
If you’re ready to become a certified diver, the Open Water Diver course is your first big step. Over three days you’ll master essential scuba skills, learn how to plan and manage dives, and explore Phi Phi Island’s marine life. Once certified, you can dive anywhere in the world, up to 18 metres (60 feet).
Most people arrive a little nervous. That’s normal, and we’ve been teaching first-time divers here since 2001. You’ll start in shallow, calm water where you can stand up, and you won’t move on until you feel ready. Your instructor stays with you throughout, and we keep groups small so nobody is rushed or left waiting their turn.
The Open Water course has three parts: theory you can study online before you arrive, skills practice in confined water, and four dives at our local sites. By the end you’ll understand how to plan a dive, manage your air and depth, and dive as part of a buddy pair rather than being led through it.
Get certified in just three days and start exploring the ocean.

Take your diving further with the Advanced Open Water course. It’s built to sharpen the skills you already have, build your confidence, and introduce you to new kinds of diving. With five adventure dives, including deep, navigation, buoyancy, night, and your choice of photography, fish identification or wreck, you’ll expand your limits to 30 metres (100 feet).
There’s no exam and no pressure. You dive, your instructor coaches you as you go, and you finish each dive doing something you couldn’t do before. Most divers complete the Advanced Open Water course in two days.
It suits anyone who has been certified for a while and wants to feel more capable, and anyone who has only dived on holiday and wants to build real experience. Night diving is the one most people remember: the reef changes completely after dark, and it’s the dive our team looks forward to most.
Gain confidence, explore new environments, and dive deeper with Princess Divers.

The Rescue Diver course, known in full as Diver Stress & Rescue, is the one most divers say changed how they dive. You’ll learn to spot problems before they become emergencies, help another diver in difficulty, and stay calm and aware of what’s happening around you.
It’s demanding, and it’s meant to be. You’ll practise real scenarios in the water, including tired-diver tows, surfacing an unresponsive diver, and managing a situation from the boat. Nothing is thrown at you unprepared; every skill is taught, practised, then tested.
Most divers finish it noticeably more confident, because you stop worrying about what might go wrong once you know how to handle it. It’s also the last step before professional training, so it’s where many people decide whether diving is a hobby or something more.
You’ll need First Aid, CPR and Oxygen certification beforehand. If you don’t have it, you can complete it with us.
Develop essential rescue skills and become a more confident, responsible diver.

Ready to dive professionally? The Divemaster course is the first step into leading and guiding, and it’s a serious commitment rather than another certification to collect.
You’ll refine your own diving until it’s effortless, learn to supervise divers safely, and work alongside our instructors on real courses with real students. By the end you’ll be guiding certified divers, assisting on training, and handling the parts of a dive day most divers never see.
This is the paid route to Divemaster, taken by divers who already have the prerequisites and want to train on their own schedule. If you’re starting from scratch and can commit four months, our divemaster internship trains you the whole way with no course fee, in exchange for working with our team.
Both routes lead to the same qualification. Which suits you depends on your experience and how much time you have.
Kickstart your career in diving and become a leader underwater with Princess Divers.
