Take the next step in your professional diving career, join our monthly Instructor Training Course (ITC) and become a certified SSI Open Water Instructor with Princess Divers.

In a 12 day course you will learn how to teach beginner and experienced divers in a safe and fun manner, how to work with different kind of personalities and age groups and how to become successful in the diving industry.

We’re not just preparing you to pass your final Instructor Evaluation (IE): We prepare you how to be a successful, fun and safe instructor.

Academic Teaching Sessions

Our air conditioned Classroom in the heart of Koh Phi Phi Islands equipped with all needed materials offers you the possibility to learn in a comfortable and well equipped environment. You will learn how to teach Academic Teaching Sessions for beginners, advanced and professional level of divers.

Most days we will spend the mornings in our classroom reviewing theory, learning about different learning techniques and most importantly: Practice and perfectionating your own personal teaching style.

Skill demonstrations

In Water
Training

Our protected in water training area is located just off Ton Sai Beach and offers depths from shallow waters (able to stand up in) up to 10 meter depths. Here you will be able to practice your skill demonstrations, learn how to properly brief and explain all Open Water and Rescue skills and how to work with students underwater.

Most days we will spend our afternoons in the water, practicing how to work with first time, advanced and professional level divers in different kind of environments and on different depths. We’re not just preparing you to pass your IE – we will prepare you how to become the best possible instructor to your students.

Open Water Instructor Certification

Final Instructor
Evaluation

After the 12 days Instructor Training Course (ITC) it’s time for your final Evaluation. This is a two day final exam with an SSI Instructor Certifier.

Over the course of two days your theory knowledge, your professionalism and your Academic and In-Water Teaching skills will be observed and evaluated and once passed you receive your professional Open Water Instructor certification.

Whats Required

  • Minimum 18 years old

  • SSI Divemaster (or equivalent from a recognized training agency)

  • Open Water certified since at least 6 months

  • Nitrox certified

  • Minimum of 100 logged dives

  • First aid and O2 trained within the last 24 months
